Descendancy Narrative of George William Green
George William Green was born in 1823 at NC. He died before 1880 in Hardeman county, TN. He married Elizabeth " Betsy" Richardson in NC. Elizabeth Richardson Green was of Native American descent. Their children were:
- John B Green born 1840 in NC.
- Catharine Green born 1842 at NC.
- Elizabeth Green was born 1844 in TN.
- Loving Green was born 1846 in TN.
- Sarah C. Green was born 1848 in N.C. She married Thomas J. Taylor, son of Jones Taylor and Elizabeth L. Crouse, on 27 Mar 1870 at Hardeman TN GP McClendon J.P.
- Jane Green was born in 1850 at TN.
- Mary Ann Green also known as "Mollie" was born 1854 in Tennessee. She married E. William Carroll Taylor, son of Jones Taylor and Elizabeth L. Crouse, on 11 Dec 1870 at Hardeman County Tennessee. Mollie died in Jul 1894 in Hardeman County Tennessee.
The only information I have on Elizabeth Richardson Green is a message from a message board and I have not checked out any of this information at this time.
I have an Elizabeth Richardson, born in N.C. in 1824, she married a George William Green, in Montgomery, Co. N.C. They moved to Hardeman, Co. Tn. in the 1840's.
In the 1860 Census Hardeman, Co. Tn. Dist. # 16.

- Elizabeth, 36 b. N.C. ( Richardson )
- John B., 20 b. N.C.
- Catharine, 18 b. N.C.
- Elizabeth, 16 b. Tn.

- Sarah, 6 Is this my Mary Ann who was 16 in 1870 ?
Elizabeth Richardson-Green, was the daughter of : John R. and Jane ( Lovin ?)-Richardson, Sr. they lived in the Little River, area of Montgomery, Co. N.C.
John R. Richardson, Sr. was born 1782 in N.C. I don't know what County, but think Chatham, Co. N.C. He wasn't in Montgomery, Co. N.C. until the 1830 Census. ( Their was another John Richardson, in Montgomery, Co. N.C. in the 1800 Census, but not my John R., Sr.)
Elizabeth, died in Madison, Co. Tn. on Nov. 25, 1920, she said : That her father was in the War of 1812 and her grandfather was of the American Rev. War, fame. When she died they believed her to be the oldest white woman, in Madison, Co. Tn. she was 96 years old.
Elizabeth, had other brothers that moved to the same area as she did.
