James Jordan has been found only once at this time. He is on the 1850 Randolph county AL. census in Beat # 13, household 406. He is a 22 year old farmer born in SC. His wife is Sarah, 17 born in GA. and they were married within the year. There is also an A.W. Jordan 25 from SC. with a rather large family for one so young.
By the 1860 census James wife Sarah Ann is remarried to William Edward Wright and living in Marion County AL.
I have no information on Martha Eugenia after the 1860 census.
William Madison marries Pernecia Jane Clark daughter of Parker Clark and Elizabeth Ann Miller on18 January 1877 in Al. He died on 30 Apr 1912 at age 58. Children of Billy and Nessie are:

William Taylor of the 18th district ". He died on 23 Jun 1948 in Martin
Tennessee at age 70. He was buried on 25 Jun 1948 at Hatler's Campground
Cemetery. The children of Rufus and Lula were:
- Mary Lou Emma Jourdan, born 1906 in Hardeman county TN. On the 4 Jul 1925 she married Lester Leland Moore. Lester Moore was accidently killed on Oct 3 1950 in Chicago IL.
- William Aquilla Jourdan (AKA Q) born in Hardeman Co. Tn. on apr.05,1907. He was an Auto and Tractor repair mechanic. He married Verily Pauline Williams, daughter of Thomas George Williams and Ethel Lee Hicks, on 5 Nov 1937 in Charleston Missouri. He died on 11 Mar 1949 in Martin Tennessee at age 41. He is buried in Hatlers Campground cemetery, Weakley County TN.
- Jewell Fanny Jourdan born on 13 Apr 1910 in Chester Co. Tn. She married Ernest Earl Robey, son of James Robey, on 1 May 1930. She died on 26 Jul 1971 in Obion Co Tn. at age 61. They had no children.
- Lockie Lee Jourdan was born on 27 Aug 1913 in Hardeman county TN. She married Henry Earl Grissom on 28 Jan 1929. She died on 15 Jul 1990 at age 76.
- Alvin Luther Jordan was born on 17 May 1879 in Monroe County MS. He married Ann Smith on 19 Feb 1903 in Monroe County.
- Dessie Zorado Jordan was born on 29 Nov 1882. She died on 23 Sep 1900 at Monroe County MS. at age 17.
- Sylla Agnes Jordan was born on 13 Dec 1884.
- Victoria Clementine Jordan was born on 3 Mar 1887
in Monroe County MS. She married George Moman Sanderson on 23 Dec 1906.
She died on 17 Nov 1966 in Monroe, AL, at age 79. Children of Victoria

- Minnie Virginia Jordan was born on 20 Mar 1893. Minnie Virginia 'Virgie' never married. She died on 22 Aug 1979 at age 86.
- Maudie Leona Jordan was born on 6 Nov 1895. She died on 19 Sep 1897 before age 2.
My Grandfather was the only one in his family to spell his name Jourdan. I think that may be a Tennessee thing as the rest of his family lived in Alabama and Mississippi.
